Term 3 2021 Program Information

FTS Talented Player Program

Registrations are now open for the FTS Talented Player Program starting on Monday 2nd October 2023 (Term 4).

This is for players born 2017 – 2008. Please note that places in this program are limited.

Players born 2011 are invited to attend our upcoming Development Squad trials for season 2024. Over the next 18 months, this age group will be part of a specific program tailored in preparation for the Jnr Boys NPL Season in 2025.

In 2024, Football Technique School will be going into our 14th consecutive year running FTS Development Squads.

Registrations are open for the Term 3 program starting on Monday 10th July 2023.

Term 2 2023 Program Information

Registrations are open for the Term 2 program starting on Monday 24th April 2023.

Nishan Velupillay (2001) – Melbourne Victory & Australia U23

Congratulations to Nishan Velupillay for his recent selection in the Australia U23 squad and reaching 50 Aleague matches with MVFC.

Term 1 2023 Program Information

Registrations are open for the Term 1 program starting on Monday 30th January 2023.

Season 2023 – U14/U15/U16/U18 NPL Trials

Players born 2008-2005 are welcome to attend our open NPL trials for season 2023. Trials will commence Saturday 15th October 2022.

We do not just put teams together to compete, our high performance program is specifically focused on developing the individual footballer. You do not get these years back again, it is important to maximise player development during this U14-U18 phase.

FTS Talented Player Program

This is for players born 2016 – 2007. Please note that places in this program are limited.

2023 – Development Squad Trials

In 2023, Football Technique School will be going into our 13th consecutive year running FTS Development Squads.

This is for age groups U8 to U13 in 2023.

Player Developmental Phases

Youth player development is often a rudderless journey for parents, relying on others to guide and support their childs football development experience. Sometimes glancing ahead and setting a direction can help navigate the journey.

Term 3 2022 Program Information

Registrations are open for the Term 3 program starting on Monday 11th July. We understand that the majority of players attending FTS during Term 3 will also be attending their Club Team Training sessions, therefore we have created specific technical sessions to provide players an opportunity to develop the important individual technical components that are often overlooked in Team training sessions.

Term 2 2022 Program Information

Registrations are open for the Term 2 program starting on Tuesday 26th April. We understand that the majority of players attending FTS during Term 2 will also be attending their Club Team Training sessions, therefore we have created specific technical sessions to provide players an opportunity to develop the important individual technical components that are often overlooked in Team training sessions.

UPDATED – Term 4 2021 Outdoor Program Starting

Fantastic news, we are finally coming out of lockdown! The FTS outdoor program will start up again on Monday 25th October 2021.

This is where you will find further information and have an opportunity to register your expression of interest. Places in the Term 4 program are limited.

UPDATED – 2022 – Development Squad Trials

Given the recent Victorian Government announcements, we are now anticipating to conduct trials for our FTS Development Squads in November 2021.

Term 1 2021 Program Information

The FTS Talented Player Program is a technical developmental program, for boys and girls, conducted in Term 1 this year. The Talented Player Program involves TWO or THREE sessions each week, it includes technical sessions, 1v1 development, game insights including decision making, positioning, body positioning and movement and also modified games – ‘linking technique and intelligence, learning to play possession football’.
