For over 20 years, Football Technique School has helped young players develop their technical ability, confidence and understanding of the game through a clear focus on technique, creativity and intelligent decision-making.
In 2027, Football Technique School will enter its 17th consecutive year running FTS Development Squads, providing young players with a structured environment where they can improve their skills, build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of the game.
The FTS Development Squads are designed for players who are passionate about football and want to challenge themselves, learn from experienced coaches and continue improving as players.
Player Development Focus
The program focuses on developing:
🔹 Technical ability and confidence on the ball
Improving first touch, ball mastery, creativity and the ability to execute skills under pressure.
🔹 Awareness and decision-making
Developing a better understanding of the game and learning to make effective decisions in different situations.
🔹 Individual skills within a team environment
Encouraging players to express themselves while learning teamwork, communication and responsibility.
🔹 The habits required to continue improving
Building confidence, motivation and the mindset required for ongoing development.
2027 Development Squad Expressions of Interest
Expressions of interest are now open for players born 2020–2015.
Players will be invited to attend assessment sessions as part of the selection process.
Players will be selected based on their suitability for the program, including their attitude, commitment, coachability and willingness to continue to develop.
