James Rashio (2008) – Melbourne Victory

On behalf of FTS coaches and staff, it’s time to say goodbye and best wishes to James Rashio – leaving FTS to join Melbourne Victory in 2024.

James Rashio arrived at FTS in 2017 at the age of 9, and spent 6 years developing his craft in our program.

James is a dangerous winger with the ability to unsettle opponents. He has the combination of speed, technical ability and 1v1s that make him a genuine threat from wide areas. James has worked extremely hard to refine his technical package, he is balanced with a soft first touch and clean in possession. He has quick feet and a variety of deceptions to create uncertainty for his opponents. He is explosive and can go both ways in 1v1 moments. James can play in wide areas on both sides of the pitch, this has been a key area of focus for him over the past couple of years. He has worked hard with his positioning, movement, timing and finishing in the front third.

James has a strong mentality, he is ambitious, driven, competitive and works extremely hard. He has been growing over the past 12-18 months and has handled this very well for a young player.

James is a top young guy from a very supportive family.

To James, everyone here at FTS is supporting you in the background. All the best with the next step on your journey!
